Strathmore University, in partnership with the Kenya Rugby Union, proudly presents the Strathmore Rugby 7s Tournament, set to take place on Saturday, 13th June 2026 at the Strathmore University Sports Complex from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

This landmark event will bring together leading universities and elite rugby clubs from across Kenya in a first-of-its-kind tournament that seamlessly blends high-performance sport with the promotion of STEM education, innovation, and youth talent development.

A Tournament Inspired by Legacy

The tournament is inspired by the enduring legacy of Kevin O’Byrne, a founding figure of Strathmore University and a passionate advocate for rugby. He believed strongly in the power of sport to shape character, instill resilience, foster teamwork, and nurture ethical leadership—values that remain at the heart of this event.
