 /a>\nFollowing the very successful in-person satellite conference held in 
 the summer of 2025\, the 9th African International Conference (AIC) on Sta
 tistics will be held in the vibrant city of Nairobi\, Kenya\, from June 29
  to July 3\, 2026. This international conference is jointly hosted by Stra
 thmore University (SU)\, Kenya\, and the University of Maryland\, Baltimor
 e County (UMBC)\, USA\, in partnership with the American Statistical Assoc
 iation (ASA) and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS). The confe
 rence is organized through a collaborative effort involving ASA\, IMS\, St
 rathmore University\, and the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at 
 UMBC. The 9th AIC will be held under the theme: “Leveraging Big Data\, A
 rtificial Intelligence\, and Emerging Analytical Tools in Mathematical Sci
 ences for Development in Africa.” The conference aims to provide an inte
 rnational forum for researchers\, practitioners\, and policymakers to exch
 ange ideas\, share recent advances\, and foster collaborations that promot
 e the role of mathematical and statistical sciences in addressing developm
 ent challenges across Africa.
